Help Harley from Yorkie Friends Rescue.

This is so sad.............My name is Harley and I am about four years old and weigh just under four pounds. A nice lady found me running the streets and called Yorkie Friends Rescue to come and get me. I have just gotten home from four days in the hospital where the doctor said I have liver disease and abcessed teeth. My medical bills are already over $1,000. Could you please find it in your heart to help Yorkie Friends Rescue with my medical bills? I would really appreciate it. I am still very ill. Even though I am very small, I am very possessive of my foster mom. I should be in a home with no other pets. My new prospective owner should understand that I will require vet trips every two months and $35 worth of medication every month. My life expectancy is expected to be short. Please do not request to adopt me unless you are financially able to handle my medical bills and vet trips. If you would like to know more about me, you can contact my foster mom at
Vicki2480@aol.com. My adoption fee is $75.00. Please check the website on how you can help donate money to Yorkie Friends Rescue.

YFR Needs Help

PLEASE HELP JERSEY!!!!!!!!!
JERSEY IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME, BUT HE NEEDS YOUR HELP........................
His blood work results showed abnormal liver and renal function and his ultrasound test showed multiple stones in his bladder ,kidneys and he also has multiple liver shunts. He needs to have an emergency surgery to remove the bladder stones now and then he will have his liver shunt surgery at the University of Florida where they are familiar with this type of surgery. It is a very dangerous surgery for this little boy.It is more likely that Jersey will need more surgeries in the future and probably medication for the rest of his life. We will do whatever is necessary to keep him comfortable. Any donations toward his surgeries and medications are greatly appreciated.
Please send any donations to:
Yorkie Friends Rescue Corporation
c/o Nancy Doherty, Treasurer

Thank you so much for helping us save a life!

Here is a great picture of my sister Debbie's 4 kids. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! We are going to Sea World and Disney's Hollywood Studios (used to be called MGM) to see the Osborne Specticale of Dancing Lights!

On the knitting front: I FINISHED MY BAMBOO TOP! Hurray I can wear it for Christmas. I'll get a picture sometime next week. Got about 6-8" done on the sleeves for my first top with sleeves. This one is going to be amazing looking!

On the crocheting front: I think I ran out of black for my cardigan. Have to look through my stash again, or buy a skein or two!

On the Yorkie Front: We got a couple doggies adopted but there are more that need a new forever home. If you know anyone interested in making a lifetime commitment to a dog, please consider a rescue or ASPCA or Humane Society. www dot yorkiefriendrescue dot com

Also if you are on RAVELRY: say HI to YFRKerrie

Here's a picture of the Family. Eva's Christening! Too bad I couldn't make it. I heard everyone in NY had a great time. Boy do I miss my family especially this time of year. Hope everyone is having a Happy and Healthy Holiday!
On the crochet front: I finished the round ripple baby blanket. It came out cute. There is a picture on ravelry YFRKERRIE.......... Haven't picked up the crocheted black cardigan in a while.
On the knitting front: Still have to finish the edging on the bamboo top. Already started my next project. I am no longer a knitting monogamist.
On the Yorkie front: We have some great small dogs (not all Yorkies) on YorkieFriendsRescue.com so if you know anyone who is interested........HINT HINT HINT
On the Scuba front: Drove ALLLLLL the way to West Palm on Sunday and our dive was cancelled due to the waves being too high. Hopefully we will go to Crystal River this weekend and I will finally be certified (and have proof LOL).

Been crocheting my "Color Me Square" (Yahoo Groups) December Pink 6" squares. They are coming out sooo cool. I try to do each one different.

OK! This is my version of "The Dog Ate My Homework"...........The cat was laying on the yarn and I couldn't finish the project! LOL

I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day and know what you are grateful for! I have been vetoed for Christmas! I wanted Roast Beef but apparently everyone else wants my lasagna! I guess life could be worse. I started the black crocheted cardigan...got the back and two fronts done, will work on the sleeves tonight....Put the knitted bamboo top on the back burner for a little while. Crocheting goes so much faster. I'm on ravelry YFRKerrie if you want to stop and say HI!

On the Yorkie Front: Ozzie got adopted to a great home (even though Hubby said he would have been OK with another doggie).
The big fat 20 pound cat ~ Dusty gave us a big scare yesterday. He pushed open the window screen in the spare bedroom and went to terrorize the neighborhood. Luckily we found him safe and sound.

OK here are 3 more crocheted squares I finished for my Color Me Square Yahoo swap. This one is very thick with front post and back posts: This one looks cool but not as cool as the one above.

This one looks really cool with the white and black:

On the Yorkie Friends Rescue side: OMG there is a dog that looks just like my Oz and his name is Ozzie! I almost fell out of my chair!!! I'll post his picture tomorrow.
On the knitting front: Have about 4 more inches on my sleeveless shell to finish!!! Hopefully I will run out of pattern before running out of Bamboo yarn...LOL Maybe I'll have it ready to wear for Turkey day since it's a cool 78 degrees here in FLA! Then I can start my next project with sleeves!

Here is a picture of the red top I knitted. Of course Oz had to get in the picture. I got the pattern off knitty.com I used Patton's brilliant for the yarn. It's worked in the round until the sleeves.

Oh yeah! I got at least 6 inches cut off my hair too.

Too bad I couldn't get pictures of my surprise. My hubby and I are getting certified in scuba. He completed all his dives and has his certification. I on the other hand have ear issues and will be working on them so I can get certified soon.

March 13

Today is day 9 on NS and 147 days until my birthday! OK sooo for all of you wondering...............I have not cheated! I went to Red Lobster with my cousin Dawn on Sun and ate very healthy (not the usual) and had enough for lunch the next day. Still haven't weighed myself, but I can tell the clothes are feeling a bit loose.
Went the the crochet meet up on Sunday at Borders. They are such a nice bunch of ladies! I am fortunate to have found them! Finally finished my american flag afghan and had a picture taken of it. Now just to download it. It is going to be raffled off for the Yorkie Friends Rescue. Hopefully we will make some money on it.
Have a great day!
