February 28 Kerrie

Here's a picture of my sister Kelly with her two kids Wyatt and Jessica in Jamacia! I am so jealous! They looked like they had a great time! Not too much sunburn. Maybe next year they will come and visit the big cheese again in Central Florida!

I foundd the business card for Yarns Forever. Dianne had the great yarn and fiber for spinning from the Sewing Expo I went to this past weekend in Tampa. Dianne is a really great lady very nice. The web address is www.yarnsforever.com and I believe she does either hand painted and hand dyed yarn and they were georgous! Take a look!

February 27 Kerrie

I finally finished my decoupage plate. I put more green tissue paper and hubby finally spray painted the back with gold. It has a couple of air bubbles but practice makes perfect.
I ordered Nutra System today so hopefully I will be down to my ideal weight 130 pounds by my birthday in August!
Still knitting my 2nd top with the burgundy yarn. It's done "knitting in the round" and I got about 6 inches done and need 6 inches more before I can work on the front and back portions. It's going fairly quickly. Still finishing the stars on the American Flag Afghan that is going to be raffled for YFR. Can't wait to see how it looks completed.

Feb 26 Kerrie

I wanted to share this picture I received of my sister Andrea, her hubby Dan and their baby girl Eliza. It was taken at Christmas 2006. I am excited to meet Eliza for the first time in March. She was born May 2006.
This past weekend I was at the Original Sew and Quilt Expo at the Tampa Convention Center. I was asked to volunteer my time with knitting and crocheting. I met some wonderful ladies and bought some yummy yarn. The yarn was from the South West Trading Company called Bamboo and it is sooo soft and wonderful. Can't wait to finish the top I am working on to make this new one. I bought it from www.knitnknibble.com. The yarn is varigated with purple, blues and pinks. I think it will look great when it is done. I wish there were more interest in the knitting and crocheting part of this Expo. It is mostly sewing. I met another lady who had fiber for spinning and hand dyed yarn. Have to find that business card!
Got to spend the weekend at my friend's Karens. Always a good time over there! Greatful hubby is so understanding!
Have a great day!

February 20

This is the picture of the finished sleeveless top I knitted. I am very proud of this. It is technically my 2nd knitted project and my first top. Working on my next one in a red color. Donated Blood yesterday for the first time since High School. I learned a valuable lesson. Yogart is not breakfast when donating. Need to eat eggs for breakfast. Left work early since I was still feeling yucky after I ate lunch. Went home, took a nap and woke up with a horrible headache. Thank goodness I feel better today. Going to the Sewing Expo at the Tampa Convention Center on Thurs, Fri, Sat. Stop by and say HI! I will be teaching crocheting. Not sure if I will make it to the Pet Rescue Roundup in Historic Downtown Melbourne for the Yorkie Rescue on Sunday. If anyone is interested, it's from 10am-4pm. If you see the YFR representatives make sure you say HI!

February 15 Kerrie

Here is a picture of Oz and myself from Paws in the Park on 2/10/07. Four of us had a great time. Poor Jenn had to work. Between the 5 of us we raised approximately $475. for the SPCA of Central Florida. I hope to do this again next year.
Still working on the Americana Afghan. I hope to have it done by Sat/Sunday.
